Rio the young Corn Snake

Previous Next
Three of Rio's skins in closeup - you can see a faint imprint of his pattern in the skin. The skin peels off the snake inside out, starting at the head and usually comes off all in one piece. When measuring the skin to see how long the snake is, around 10% should be deducted because the skin stretches as it comes off, so is actually longer than the snake itself.
btw, the tape measure is measuring in inches (not centimetres) and I realize there is no 31/11, I presume Jo meant 30/11...   Picture taken: 15/12/2002
